The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 6 reaped a PRIME-HRM award from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in recognition of DILG’s efforts in promoting government employees’ excellence for an efficient and effective delivery of public service. This was during the 7th Regional Congress of Human Resource Management Practitioners held at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City on Oct. 4, 2018.
The Regional Congress’ theme: “Strategic HR: Achieving Breakthrough Results Through PRIME-HRM” highlighted the success stories and breakthrough results in the implementation of the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM), particularly achieving Maturity Level 2. Under this program, CSC looks into the agencies’ HRM practices on the four core HR Systems of Recruitment Selection and Placement (RSP), Learning and Development (L&D), Performance Management (PM), and Rewards and Recognition (R&R).
This year, DILG Region 6 has met the Program to PRIME-HRM Level 2 – Maturity Indicators in the Systems, Practices and Competencies under the Performance Management core HRM system. The recognition is a result of the on-site assessment of CSC Regional Office 6 and validated by the Human Resource Policies and Standards Office conducted in the last quarter of 2017. The department was able to sustain its HRM practices since DILG bagged the same award in 2016. This attests DILG Region 6’s determination and invaluable efforts to promote strategic HR Excellence within the department.
“As a PRIME-HRM Awardee, DILG Region 6 shall maintain the status under Level 2 and continue to enhance its HRM systems to meet the indicators of the next maturity level.”, said DILG RD Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda. The award was received by DILG R6 RD Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda together with DILG Region 6 Division Chiefs, Roselyn Quintana (Local Government Capability and Division), Dino Ponsaran (Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division) and Maria Eleanor Antiquiera (Finance and Administrative Division).
